The Hong Kong Senior Professional Golfers' Association (HKSPGA ) Order Of Merit - Leg 3 Report

The Hong Kong golf professional William Fung Wai Kuen got his second win in the Senior Division, after beating Tang Man Kee in the 4^th playoff hole.

This third stage of the Order of Merit series took place at the Chung Shan Hot Spring Golf Club, named the "The First Golf Course in China", with a total participants of 27 players. Second stage winner Tang Man Kee leaded the field with the score of one under par – 71 on the 1^st competition day. The oldest participant of Hong Kong Open, William Fung Wai Kuen came close with 1 stroke behind while Billy Tam finished the day with a score of 74 placed on the third of the leaderboard.

Second day of the competition took place in a hotter weather, but players were still able to finish strong. Fung beat the field with the red number score of 71, one under par, and level the leader Tang Man Kei, who missed the 3 footer winning putt on the 18th green and settle of a score of 72. The game was pushed into the sudden death playoff.

The sudden death playoff was decided to play on the 18^th hole, with the total length of 350 meters; however, the winner was unable to decide on the first 3 tries. On the fourth playoff hole, Fung tee-up and got the ball rest on the semi-rough, while Tang placed his tee-shot perfectly on the fairway. Unfortunately, Tang didn’t take the advantage and mistakenly placed his 2nd shot on the greenside bunker that eventually cost him lost the hole and the tournament to William Fung Wai Kuen.
