Derek Fung – Winner of 4th Yinli HKPGA Order of Merit

The 4th Yinli HKPGA Order of Merit was played at Kau Sai Chau - North course on the 1st September 2009, with 47 players from the Open division and three amateur players from the Hong Kong Golf Association competing for the top spot. Despite the scorching hot condition, players coped well with the heat and reasonably good scores.
Derek Fung, the 2nd leg champion, clinched the title with a respectable round of 70, the veteran took full advantage of the calm condition and played solid golf throughout the game, made three birdies, a lone bogey and the rest at par, “My game is pretty steady today. I feel good physically and I am quite satisfied with my swing and putting.” Fung said. Wilson Choy and Lam Chun Cheung also played beautifully, they posted a pair of 71 and both tied at 2nd place. 1st leg champion David Freeman was one shot adrift and finished 4th with three other players.
