2011 Ageas HKPGA Order of Merit Leg One - Open Division

The Ageas HKPGA Order of Merit 2011 – Leg 1 Open Division final round took place on May 31, 2011 at the North Course of Kau Sai Chau Public Golf Course under breezy but sunny weather. Jimmy Ko shot 68 (4 under par) & took the lead on round one. On the final round, Jimmy Ko did not perform as well as the first & carded a 76 but it was good enough to take the Open Division Champion with a 2-day combined score of (68 /76) 144. Timothy Tang and Grant Gibson were tied as first runner-up with a score of 145.
"I am extremely happy & honored to take this win", said Ko, "I played really well & led the 1st round with a 4 under par 68 so I was very confident going into the final but I made a lot of mistakes and was 6 over just after few holes! Luckily the birdie on the 7th got me back on track and played quite solid throughout the remaining holes to win by 1 shot."
