Annie Lau captures title of HKPGA Order of Merit 2011 - Leg Two (Ladies Division)

The leg two of the 2011 HKPGA Order of merit (Ladies division) took place at Hong Kong’s Clearwater Bay Golf & Country Club on the 4th & 5th of July under sweltering heat and first round leader S. C. Chan had to withdraw from the tournament due to heat exhaustion, Betty Ng also suffered from the adverse weather condition and completed the round with a 85 (78/85, total of 163), and had to settle for a third place finish.
Annie Lau & Jannet Sheng coped better with the high temperature & were tied at the top with a 2-day total of 161, and had to settle the championship with a play-off at the par 3 first with Annie emerged as the winner.
"It was not easy to play well & compete today under this condition, I had to tell myself to be very patient and don't make too many mistakes" said Lau. "I putted well at the back 9 and it helped me to win the play off".
