HKPGA Order of Merit – Seniors Division (Leg 4) & Ladies Division (Leg 3) First Day Report

This stage of the Seniors Division Order of Merit is taken place in Discovery Bay Golf Club. 27 golf professionals and seniors division tour players are participating in this event. Even a strong wind was started to pick up approaching the end of the round, the 2 winners of the previous stages in this year – William Fung and Tang Man Kee – were still be able to post a beautiful scores to match the nice weather today. After the 1st round, both players carded the same scores of one under par (70) to lead the field. Alex Tang, a little bit out of luck with his putter today, placed on third with a score of 74; while the head golf professional of Discovery Bay Golf Club was still in the contention, placed on 4th with a score of 75.
On the Ladies Division’ side, 11 players were out to chase the winner title. After the 1st round of competition, Sylvia Chan took the lead, while Betty Ng, the winner of the 1st leg of the Order of Merit this year, finished second. Vicki Ho placed on third of the leader board.
