Training Program
In late 2002, the HKPGA launched a new 'Golf Professional Training Program' with the aim to provide professional training to golfers who choose teaching golf as their career. The training program is a 2-year program covering both academic and playing standard of the Trainees.
Message from the President
With the introduction of a new training program for aspiring golf professionals, the Hong Kong Professional Golfers Association (HKPGA) is entering into an exciting new era. Based at the Kau Sai Chau Public Golf Course, a training program consisting of 20 rounds of golf and around 60 hours of classroom study over a two year period will get underway starting from April 2003.
As the popularity of golf continues to boom in Hong Kong, the HKPGA felt there was a need to implement such a program to keep up with the rising standards of teaching around the world. We are confident that an applicant who passes our tests after 2 years of training will be qualified to pass on his/her knowledge of the game to the golfing public in Hong Kong or anywhere else he/she may be teaching and to represent the HKPGA in a manner that befits a professional golfer.
